Nothing Like a Sale for a Little Motivation

I just have to say that sometimes I get Design ADD.
I will start on projects in one room and before you know it,
I have ideas for another and kind of abandon ship...
Knowing that I'll get back to it one day.

The project that has been halfway completed that longest is this
Every month or so he'll nicely ask when I plan to getting around to it again...

poor little abandoned frames.

This past week I had a nice bit of motivation with some help from
a Typography and Letterpress sale at One Kings Lane.
A couple of frames are on the larger side of things,
so I have had some trouble filling them.
This one was actually larger than I needed, but I figured I could trim it to size.
It's going in the large frame, top left.

I knew Hubby would love this one.  No doubt.
Perfect for his nautical office.
Can't wait for it to arrive.

Now it's time to find two more 5x7 images, two 2x3 images (that might be a little tough),
pick up a matte or two from Hob Lob, pop a sailboat image in another frame, and la-tee-da.
This wall will finally be complete!

If you've never shopped a One Kings Lane sale, you're missing out!
Sign up here and get shopping!
Come back and let me know what you find.

pink pouf.

I am currently writing this post from Cloud 9
because I just found the perfect pink pouf at Home Goods!

for only $60!

Little Man and I were browsing the aisles...
I turned the corner,
The "Hallelujah Chorus" began playing.
My heart was racing.
Love at first sight.
The world went into slow motion as I began walking towards it.
I had just found the perfect pink pouf for our baby girl's nursery!

When I got home I found this image on Pinterest by searching "pink pouf",
and yep, it's exactly the same as mine.

The addition a pouf to a room's decor brings an element of playful sophistcation.
Here are some other fabulous ones,
in case incorporating a bright coral pink one doesn't quite fit your color scheme...

Do you have a crazy love for poufs, too?

Estate Sale

::Don't forget to enter the Home Goods giveaway::

How dreamy would a wine cask be as a patio side table?

Or as the base for a dining room table.

or a gorgeous chandelier?
stunning.

I had big dreams for an Estate Sale that I found on C-List one night.
Three wine casks were pictured & priced at $50/ea.
The sale began at 9:00 the next morning!
Hubby and I were dreaming of all we would do with our wine cask treasures.
We walked into the estate sale the next morning,
quickly realizing the pictures & description had been quite misleading.
The three casks standing before us were nothing more than miniature whiskey barrels,
and they already had a sold sign.
Bummer.
I must admit, that since they were already sold I was glad they weren't what I'd been dreaming of.
Made the pain of not finding our deal of a lifetime more bearable.

I still have my eye out for some though. I'll find them one day,
And when I do, I want to turn that beauty into a chandelier!

I did leave with a few other treasures though...

a few antique books at $5/ea

and an antique wooden sailboat...perfect piece for the shelves in little one's
big boy room. which we'll start working on this summer!

This is what I wanted to look like as we pulled away...
