i would love to be at the beach playing with sand;
instead, i'll be having a blast in driveway playing with the sander...
we have big plans for the weekend!
sanding/refinishing/repainting our kitchen table
i have been pondering/considering/debating this for 2 years now,
and i am finally going for it!
i practiced on our coffee table,
and lurve the finished product!
now, on to bigger and better things!
after :coffee table:
{i can't find my before pics at the moment-
but when i do i'll add them}
the rusty red of the legs is the accent color in our family room.
before :kitchen table:
i love the unique table and chairs.
i love that we can use it as an intimate small round table, or
expand it to seat 6-8 when we have guests.
even more so, i love the memories shared here.
this was given to me by my precious grandmother,
and i remember so many wonderful family meals shared around this table.
we'll be staining the table top the same stain as the coffee table,
and then painting the base and all the kitchen chairs white,
and recovering the chair seats!
and recovering the chair seats!
i'm so excited!! can't wait to share the finished product with you!
have you refinished/painted any furniture lately?
i'd love to see your pics.
i know they'll be inspirations for me on future projects!
Great job on the coffee table! We actually got rid of our 80s beast of a coffee table, and I found a smaller one to refinish for $20. I've also been toying with the idea of refinishing our kitchen table, too. Can't wait to see how yours turns out!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your coffee table and the red. Can't wait to see your kitchen table. That's gonna look great! Glad I found your blog. :)
