I received an e-mail from Southern Living this week,
informing me that their first Showcase Home in the Houston area
will be open for touring this weekend and next!
The incredibly talented brother-sister team of Stone Acorn are the builders of this southern beauty.
I love love love all things with Southern Living charm, and can't wait to tour this home. So, until I can share my own pics, here are some taken by this website during the last stages of construction.

at first i thought the build out of the benches was strange...
but I bet it allows for much more leg room beneath a table than a typical bench.

I love everything about this house! It has gracious Southern style and so much personality. Hopefully I can take my own pictures on the tour when the rooms are decorated to perfection! If you live in and around Houston, you should definitely make the drive in for this tour.

ReplyDeleteOne interesting and fundamental part of the Southern culture is their patios and porches. Ideally, their houses are built with a warm and inviting front porch. It mirrors the hospitability of Southern people. Furthermore, those barn doors brought such a traditional chic to that two-storey house.
