After being absent from blog world for the past couple of months,

it's sure good to be back! 

I missed you!

One of my last posts was YOU CAN DO IT!

where i shared my goals for the laundry room.

Many of you said you were going to tackle your to-do-lists that weekend,

and I began to tackle mine, too! Just as the "morning  all day sickness" began.

And that's where I stopped.  

Beginning to tackle the task of completing my laundry room make-over.

I was planning on clearing out the shelves and beginning to stencil with

this template from jones design company.

if you've never spent an afternoon browsing her blog, 

go ahead and clear your calendar for today.

she's so creative and inspiring.

I have been patiently waiting to get back in the swing of decorating ever since then! 

Here is what I accomplished that weekend...not quite what i expected...

I began taking down the baskets on the top shelf to discover water damage

from a leak that had been fixed ... 

we just hadn't gotten around to scraping off the damage and repainting!

 well if those aren't exciting pics, i don't know what is. ha.

anyway, about the time i had made a nice mess and has paint scrapings all over the top shelf,

it was time to lay down!

hubby to the rescue!  he cleaned up my mess, re-bolted the ironing board,

patched holes, and re-painted! 

now, it's finally ready to stencil, and I can't wait for it to look a little something like this...
